It's been a while since I've done a Hurricane Vendetta update and for that I blame tax season. Uncle Sam is a jerk who took my tax money to give to Israel to do a genocide.
So what's been new with Hurricane Vendetta?
SUCCESS!
Hurricane Vendetta as a pilot is done, in terms of artwork. That means the pilot is pretty much all drawn out. Now we're in the process of adding sound effects, music, and fine tuning the voice work. All the voice tracks you've heard so far in these little demos I've been posting are all scratch track. Meaning, It's just some crap voice work I recorded with my animation partner just to have something to hang the animation on. Nothing special.
(I wouldn't be surprised if most 90's anime dubs were shitty scratch tracks.)
So we need to re-record some voice work this weekend, especially with the voice actress for Anna-Rose. We also need to design the sound effects for some of the sci-fi tech. I thought we'd use canned sound effects for the sound design, but nope. Some of these effects are custom made. Get a load of the sound effect my animation partner put together for the plasma lance.
Do you love it or do you love it? I love it.
Anyway sound FX like this do take a bit of time to design and there are a lot more than that. All that sound design is going to take at least another 2-3 sessions, combined with the updated vocals means my pretty little animatic has a little more time to marinate.
But the artwork is done and that's all I need...
Because this sequence was pretty tough to animate. I needed two naps after this.
Stay tuned!
